Right, but that's not what the people who push "equal opportunity" mean. They mean equal opportunity in the sense of lowering standards for particular groups so that they can get paid without meeting the requirements, and displace the capable.

Indeed. A woman should have the same chance to be a fireman as a man, and to make up for physical strength differences, a woman only needs to carry 180 pounds instead of 300. Just as a woman who writes about baseball needs to only be able to use the copy and paste commands, rather than actually knowing anything about the game.

This isn't about whether or not women plagiarize more often than men. This is an example of how equal opportunity hiring has failed. Someone was hired not for her credentials or ability, but because of something she has no control over. Equal opportunity hiring can offer benefits amongst a pool of QUALIFIED applicants, but she clearly didn't have the qualifications, and was hired for something other than her qualifications, resulting in the other qualified applicants being selected against. That's the point OP is trying to make I believe. Trying to prove that women plagiarize more than men is trying to (very poorly) attack women, and that's not what this sub is about, nor is it what OP intended to do I'm sure.

Indeed. Hence my title - there are more competent and knowledgeable writers/journalists out there who are far more suited to write about baseball. It's a sport played by men, followed largely by men, yet in the interest of diversity, the job goes to a woman who apparently knows nothing.

But she has a pussy, so she gets the equal opportunity hire.
