I think this is AMAZING. Finding straight people in SF has got to be hard. If you wanted a job, you'd work your network. Want to find love, work your friends. Why wasn't a link to her FB included or her phone number. She sounds great even if her parents named her redacted.

Red pill gem found amongst the shite!

73% of women working in advertising got into the biz because it is the preferred career of hollywood characters in romantic comedies. This gal is a prime example of what I call the "romantic-industrial complex." Affected women attempt living life as they have seen over and over in rom-coms since they were kids, which explains their career choice. After realizing working in advertising isn't as cool and fulfilling as it seems in the movies, they move onto the next phase of the illusion---getting the good-looking, successful, muscular, funny and perfect guy in the end. Except Ryan Gosling doesn't exist in real life. I'm sure she's passed up many great men along the way thinking she was waiting for her third act to happen and her leading man to find her. Except, it never happens because A) real men don't live up to hollywood ideals, and B) Finding somebody takes real effort and requires you to put yourself out there. So you end up with a bunch of single, unhappy mid-30s career women working in advertising like this chick.

Where to begin been trying to make sense of this but I keep feeling like i'm experiencing RP overload here. So many RP truisms on display here make me wonder if this is a real post or if 1 of you guys invented her.

I find it really funny that this is the exact way women used to find husbands in Imperial China. Pay a matchmaker (who knows many families) to find a suitable match for your daughter. If the match is successful, the matchmaker gets paid off. Didn't know women had it so great back then ;)
