There has to be some comparison to men, because women can't become the unfaithful gender. Society perpetuates men as the lying, cheating sex.

Statistically, I have no doubt that the women who have cheated in a western society far exceed the amount of men who have.

Agreed. Once you grasp TRP, you realize how easily women will cheat; whereas most men are beta, and struggle with merely approaching a new woman. Even if successful, beta success drives many men to oneitis, which, like approach anxiety, still demonstrates insecurity with respect to new mates.

Exactly, this is self reported data. It assumes that men and women are honest to the same level when reporting their behavoir. Doubtful.

Statistically, it's practically impossible for women to be the "less" cheating sex, simply because of the 80-20 rule. So few men are having sex with so many women, so statistically this would equate to a massive amount of infidelity engaging women with just a few guys. I suppose the only counter argument would be that the 80-20 rule only applies to "single" non-commited people, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't...

The vast majority of girls I've met either say they want to have fun (sleep with as many guys as possible) or they say they want commitment, get into a relationship, and then cheat.

I find this brazenly difficult to imagine. How many women encompass your sample study and is this a select group of similar friends?

But in my experience I do not see or know any girl that is sex positive like this who really wants to fuck for the single pleasure of sex as it's own reward. If they do it's a well guarded secret and they ain't telling anybody.

I lived in a party frat for 1-1/2 years and got laid exactly zero times. We had parties three times a week and I met thousands of girls.

I've internalized that I'm a loser. Over and over and over. Funny how I never used to think that. I always had hope. I always laughed and pretended not to care when I was made the butt of a joke. But you know what. After a while you begin to realize you can't deny the obvious. What everyone was saying must have some amount of truth in it. Then after a while you realize it was all true. No matter how much I put myself out there and tried to be the fake alpha dude, it just ain't gonna happen. I'm sorry I've wasted your time.

Something that comes so easily and freely to some is oddly inconceivable to others. Especially when the girls are supposed to want the same thing. But instead of making guys feel comfortable and welcome they make them feel like creeps and losers.

More women may feel free to cheat because the economic consequences aren't as dire as they were when more women stayed at home - Pepper Schwartz

They can afford the potential consequences of an affair, with higher incomes and more job prospects

They have more economic independence and may meet a better class of mate

It's not that men cheat more, it's just that they admit to cheating more than women. Women will never, ever, ever, tell you the full truth when it comes to infidelity.

"He's just a friend." = I'm interested in him and we've hooked up several times.

"Ok, we had been texting a little." = we fucked.

"Ok, we kissed once after I had one too many bellini's, it didn't mean anything." = we fucked.

"Ok, I went to his house and we made out a little." = we fucked.

"Ok, we layed in his bed but we didn't take our clothes off." = he fucked me in the ass.

"Ok, I gave him head once, but that was it." = he did me in every hole that I've never let you have.
