yeah I can see what you are saying, but frugality is also called not being an idiot with money. If you want to talk about bettering yourself then you should talk about frugality and it's importance in properly using resources. That's part of being alpha.

Frugality isn't the point or the goal but it is an aspect managing resources effectively which ultimately makes you of higher value to any potential mate.

Actually, no. Hoarding is not the same thing as frugality and as this article suggests spending money on status items serves a purpose but only when you have the money to spend on status items otherwise it is fake and can more than easily be identified as fake.

Investing your wealth and turning it into influence is a much better method of increasing status than spending it on status items.
