This is simply breathtaking. Please note that he is unable to realize that the girls are just not into him. Thus, he keeps looking for ways to improve his "game." Buddy, if the girl isn't [sic] really into you, it doesn't really matter what you do as long as you move the interaction forward. On the other hand, if she's not into you, then it also doesn't really matter what you do because you simply won't get anywhere.

Would we also then suppose that dressing nicely or putting on makeup is pointless because people will notice and be attracted to women no matter what?

Has anyone even read minimal game?

I have read a few of Roosh's books and the advice is very solid imo.

Whether this article holds water or not, I find Roosh to be a crass and unlikable writer. Beyond when feminists say we're "angry" - Roosh actually seems like he's angry all the time. He rarely writes in a tone that doesn't sound angry, stoic, or frustrated. It turns me off from his stuff.

That said - the guy is making a living banging women from around the world and writing books about it (even if it is "only" 5-8 a year). That's not a bad way to live IMO and in the same vein I'll listen to what he has to say about pick-up (though I may not always agree).

I've never bothered with his books. Are they worth the time?

I like a lot of what Sleazy says and think he does a good job of calling out shucksters, like shute says.

But I do like Roosh, generally. I think he focuses on helping dudes to improve substantively, not just bullshit your way to bed. In addition to offering some game scripts as starting points, and tips on enhancing your presentation through body language, fitness wardrobe and word choice, he also emphasizes learning skills (music, language, etc), cultivating knowledge by being widely read, and becoming an interesting conversationalist, knowing how to tell good stories and convey yourself positively.

One example- let's say you've been abroad. When you talk to someone, do you blow your load and say: "I stayed in a small Ghanaian village outside of the capital city Accra?" No- you give teasers that elicit subsequent questions.

"I spent some time abroad last year."

"Oh really? Whereabouts?"

"Western Africa."

"No kidding. Where specifically?"

"In Ghana."

Etc. down the line- at any point, the other party may stop asking questions, and you let it drop. But the point is, you provide some teasers to get them asking questions of you, because their very act of asking questions anchors you as a compelling individual.

And while I agree that he sometimes comes off as angry, I give a wide berth to that, because he does in my mind represent an attempt at long-term building of character and positive masculinity. I haven't read anything outside of Bang and Day Bang, though, so I can't say what his current tone is outside of the blog.

quite shocked, by sleazy's attack on Roosh. i used to follow his blog, he specialised in tearing some wannabe pua shucksters a new arsehole. perhaps his radar for bullshit has got a little more wonky over the years

one thing that I think Roosh deserves to be slammed for is what I'd call his "weasel game"; whining and sliming his way into sex in the face of last-minute resistance rather than reframing, freezing out, or even walking away with his self-respect unaltered.

this is true, but it's not a matter of honor. it sets a bad precedent, whether your goal is a long-term relationship or just good sex. by whining and pleading with a woman you're reinforcing her position as the gatekeeper. weaseling just doesn't have any place in my game, and it would appear starkly incongruent combined with the rest of the advice offered in this subreddit

I don't think I see Roosh so much pleading with women. He does take a counter-intuitive approach based on country, but women aren't the same everywhere.

you mean sleazy? i've not heard him use those terms before, but if you point me to where he's said that, i'll conceed, that is a massively dickish regressive thing to do.
