Okay I dont know shes lying but everytime I tell her something she tries to one up me. For example, one time she asked if I could hang on a Saturday I said I couldn't because me and my bf were going to the beach. Well that same Saturday she texted me " what's up" well I said nothing I came to the beach and she responded with "lol me and my bf came to texas" I said oh cool (we are from California) lol but I knew she was lying. She was hanging out with another friend in our hometown anyways I asked about it later and she said she went to Texas for a bbq which was a lie. Anyways she constantly texts me about her bf and life and said that they were planning on going ring shopping like in a year and be married by 2020 okay then we texted a couple months later in which I revealed that my bf proposed. Then the next time I texted her on accident which was a week later she just responded with "dude me and my bf are going ring shopping tomorrow and we will be married by the end of the year."

Honestly I dont believe anything she says anymore. Everyone says she comes off super fake through text message. And a bunch of shady things have occurred. For example she always hypes things up with her man and then one time she actually opened up about a problem they had but as soon as we left and she got home she made sure to call me to explain that everything was amazing and she was just being dumb and was joking bc her relationship is great. I though that was weird.

Anyways is this reason enough to back away from a friend? Everytime we text i am seriously bombarded by things I dont even believe. She always told me her and her sister didnt get along bc her sister was so competitive with the men she dated but now that I see her behavior I understand why. She just makes it a point to let you know her relationship is better than anyone ese and if it's not she will make up lies about it. This is the only person i know who is like this.
