Got into a long distance LTR 1 and a half month ago (yes, long distance is a mistake I know, but let's not get into that).

For the past 1-2 weeks I've been contamplating on breaking up with her because of long distance and monogamy combo, it's obviously not working out, but I hesitate and put it off (also a mistake).

Today I visit my hometown for holidays (she lives here) and text her asking her if she's free to meet tomorrow. She texts me 4 paragraphs asking me to break up cuz ldr isn't working for her, she doesn't see me sexually anymore, and asks to stay friends cuz she "adores me as a person". I laughed and told her I've actually been meaning to break up with her cuz ldr and also monogamy apparently don't work for me but I was gonna do it in person cuz over texts it's just sad. She says "oof that's great, let's meet tomorrow and talk it out" (clearly wanted "closure") and I told her no there's no need for that.

Also I tell her I have no interest in being friends (my freshly-redpilled gut told me that staying friends with an ex is blue pill, idk) and that if she had wanted to be friends with benefits I'd be cool with that. She was like "Ok, but no sex or anything", I told her "lol that's not fwb", she says "well I'm just making my proposal" to which I left her on read.

Also deleted her on everything.

Any way I could have played this better?
