Oftentimes you'll see a movie/tv shows where the good guys (halo effect: often they are handsome/attractive) defeats the group of bad ugly goons. You know the story, been played out a million times in Hollywood. But is the opposite of this actually the reality? I mean, one just needs to look throughout history which paints pretty much the complete opposite picture. Sure, there were times of peace and prosperity where the government/monarchy took care of its people, but there is always a cost to the people (it's certainty not altruistic as we are led to believe). As well, there are periods too of complete abuse of a people. Currently you can look to these huge corporations using child slave laborer, drug cartels running rampant, many mob bosses (with dime pieces), corrupt politicians. Seems like human nature is pretty deceitful, manipulative, and out to take as much as possible from others if gone unchecked/unregulated. One just has to look at the series of different laws, unions, and forms of government that had to be created as proof of having to prevent other people from taking advantage of one another.

If anything the whole "good guy" image is a front used to manipulate and deceive people. Often in competition it's the strongest most ruthless one that wins (same in the dating world), not the one with good moral qualities. A woman would oftentimes choose a brute over a good-hearted guy. There have been numerous studies that show most CEO's and owners of big businesses almost always possess narcissistic personality disorder and a host of DT traits. Being morally good does not lend itself to being successful or winning competitions, or even being fulfilled in life. In fact, I'd wager that the ones that are truly "good" probably suffer the most because they become easy targets for less morally sound people.

The BP narrative is good beats evil. Morality is relative of course. I think slavery is morally wrong, but others say different and that slave masters weren't evil people but merely a product of their time.
