I personally think dread game is essential for maintaining relationships. LTRs or Plates.

For dread game to work, she has to dread the thought of losing you to another female. The attention you get from other women, re-asserts your value by means of fear. A very powerful tool. Fear that she'll lose the status you provide, the security and the ace dick you sling to another woman. She has to know your value for her to fear losing it.

You can use dread in the moment as part of your game, like for example gaming a chick at a bar and just when she's almost sold moving on to some one else and letting her stew for a time. When you come back, the fear has fully set in and suddenly she's got something to prove. In that moment, the power dynamic has shifted and you've won. She's now actively trying to keep you. It's subtle but effective. Although it can back fire, she could just as easily decide to prove she's worth the time by latching to some other dude. If that happens, never react.

In any case dread game is most powerful when investments have been made.

If anything I'd say perpetual dread game is a must in a LTR. If she senses for a second that she's irreplaceable, then the idea that she could do better grows. Which is why marriage CAN be so dangerous. You're signing a contract guaranteeing that you'll stay with her no matter what. And if you leave she get to fiscally rape you.
You're actively signing away your power.

You want her to KNOW that at any moment if she gives in to her her hypergamy, or becomes domineering, or turns into anything other than who she was when you decided to make her a LTR, then hotter, younger, and more willing pussy is always a call away. Keeps everybody honest. IMO.

Dread game is the invisible axe hanging over her head that tells her that if she doesn't act right with you, then you have absolutely no problem moving on and getting with two or three other girls. Women date up - they want a man that's better than they are, and what better way to display higher status than to let them know that they're replaceable and therefore just lucky to be with you.

Edit: This is a complete 180 degree turn from the socially accepted idea that men should throw themselves at women's feet - those men will never be valued because their willingness to please makes them disposable.

I think the top posts pretty much cover it: you need to appear ready to leave at any moment if she doesn't perform. In simple terms, how can you present yourself as someone who is independent and powerful? How can you show that you can drop her at any time?

If you're looking for practical examples, coming home late from time to time works, especially after work. Show (don't give) her stuff that only comes from being near you and talk to women with her around. If she shows any indignation, just hold frame and make sure she knows (or thinks) that if she goes too far out of line, she's gone. Treat her like a child and make sure she knows like it's an honor and privilege to be with you.

Actually it's how to keep any LTR, wife, plate, because she can see when women seek you, flirt with you, she knows for a fact her inner-jedi-hamster can not deny that you have real value. Her weapon to make you do as she says is sex, pussy, attitude as if you are lesser to her mere existence. This doesn't work whatsoever when 3 hot girls flirt with you in front of her face. It destroys her inner power to exploit you.

For picking up an entirely different interaction happens even if it looks different on the outside: rather than seeking to exploit a man she's already with, if several girls see each other flirting with a guy, his value to capture for the first time is raised because it would be crazy to her that somehow all of the girls are fooled all at once and pursue a man of low value.

They'll size up how you look, what you say or do, but they'll size each other up and wonder how lesser each is to the other female. In doing this it becomes a competition: when that woman gets you she proves she's better than the other women to the other women in a way that doesn't even concern you (in other words, you're objectified), while also having the attraction to you based on how well you specifically do/say things which very clearly show the other girl(s) to be attracted as a reaction.

The harder they seek you with the lesser action on your part, the more value you have because now it's right under the hamster's skin, peeling her eyeballs back in shock: your mere existence is enough to pull other girls in. Now she has to have you.

This goes by a short-name for reference "social proof"
