This is a repost of a response I made on an AskTRP thread. I thought I’d expand it and throw it out for discussion.

After taking the Red Pill, I deleted my Facebook account. That worked well for me, for just over a year.

If you’re new here, I recommend deleting your Facebook account for at least a month. You could even do it for “NoNothingNovember”. It will help you realize how worthless it is.

Facebook is one big validation exercise. Woman love it for the validation. Real men don’t. How many ‘friends’ you have, how many ‘likes’ you get; it’s a worthless feminine desire.

I returned to Facebook, because it does have 3 uses. So I made these rules for myself and they have worked really well.

1. Raise your Social Status – How to ‘Win’ at Facebook by having the coolest life ever

If you haven’t yet reached Self-actualization, you can at least fake it. Facebook is prone to making you feel miserable about yourself. Most redditors have already heard the saying – “The reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everyone else's highlight reel”. So do the opposite.

(a) Never post anything.

(b) Never reply to any post.

(c) Never like anything. Especially NEVER like pictures of girls. Don’t give validation. You lose social status by doing so.

(d) Have the security setting that stops people from posting on your wall without your approval. Then, never let anyone write or post anything on your wall. Unless, it is a photo of you doing something really fucking cool (bungee jumping, climbing Eiffel tower, you standing next to 12 bikini babes, etc).

It must be other people who post these for you. They are giving you social validation and you are too busy having the coolest life to ever bother posting yourself. You avoid bragging and validation-seeking. Don't worry if there's nothing on your wall for months. Someone's total perception of you from Facebook is now only fucking coolness, or mystery.

(e) Don't ever read the wall. It makes you miserable by comparison, you aren’t going to respond anyway, and it’s 99% crap.

2. Communication with Others

Facebook is good as an alternative contact if you don’t have someone’s phone number or email address. But, it should only be for your benefit, not for the benefit of others to contact you.

(a) Communicate only through private message. But avoid this as much as possible.

(b) Message only Family, Male Friends and for getting in touch with people you can’t otherwise contact.

(c) Never message any woman or respond to her messages. It makes them crazy and they will initiate conversation with you when you next meet in person – “Why didn’t you talk back?” She wanted your message validation. Don’t give it to her. ‘Text/Message game’ is beta bullshit. You should only ever message to meet and fuck. Take a lesson from this guy.

(d) Never poke anyone, even if they poke you. It says nothing about who you are.

(e) Friends: Don’t ever ‘friend request’ anyone. The only exceptions are family and close male friends. Take at least 48 hours to respond to friend requests. Be selective in who you friend and cull your current ‘friends’ list. It says a lot about your social status.

Also, change security settings so that no-one but your ‘friends’ can see anything of your profile. The only things a stranger should see are what they need to identify your Facebook as yours (Profile picture, Name, Gender, Where you live).

(f) Minimalist Profile. The more mystery about you, the better. Cull back all TV shows, Video games, Movies, and other things you ‘like’. Have nothing if possible. Remove any other contract details. Especially remove your religious and political views.

(g) If anyone ever asks you about your lack of presence or responses on Facebook; just tell them you “don’t really use Facebook” or “got sick of Facebook”. Say this sincerely.

3. Getting invited to events

Facebook is good at one thing in particular, and that is coordinating events.

(a) If you want to attend the event, click ‘maybe’. Unless it is family or a close friend, then ‘attending’.

(b) If you don’t want to attend the event, don’t respond.

(c) Creating your own successful event requires an entirely separate post about “Social Circle Game” – Google it.

NB: Get the most attractive profile photo you can have.

The valuable information in these posts also applies to Facebook. I got a friend photographer to do a few shots for me.
