I identify with the sigma male ideal ...... but really it's just an excuse to be anti social, not fit with other men, not lead, and hope to be able to be independent and survive that way.

I wouldn't class sigmas as anti-social. Many of them do have advanced social skills, they just don't have the frat boy vibes associated with your stereotypical Chads and alphas. They're more like an introverted alpha than a socially hapless beta.

Also, I don't think they have any issues fitting in with other men either. Alphas love sigmas because they're the only men (other than fellow alphas) who will call them out on their bullshit and aren't a bunch of yesmen like their betas or NPCs like men of lower rank in the dominance hierarchy. The alpha is the king and the sigma is the courtier. Indeed, some would argue being a sigma is more advantageous as they have influence without accountability or responsibility. If the courtier advises the king to do something and that recommendation causes anguish with the populace the populace will call for the king's head first as it is his kingdom. The same is true in companies too. Alpha CEO with sigma COO is probably the dream combination.

Overall, the alpha-beta dichotomy is too simplistic. Determining that a man is a beta simply because he is not an alpha is a poor method of conceptualisation because there is no objective criteria for defining what a beta is, simply what it is not (alpha). For example, take two men, Man X and Man Y. Man X is an overweight NEET loner with an obsession for anime and plays video games for twelve hours a day--lacking functional social skills as well as being the archetypical "Nice Guy ®" who is lucky to get IOIs from HB4s. Man Y is fairly average in all regards, has social skills with healthy friendships to match in an alpha-led social circle, a few interesting and productive hobbies, a decent job, and regularly dates HB6-7s. According to the alpha-beta dichotomy both of these men would be betas and therefore of equal rank. Is that really the case? Or, typologically speaking, would it make more sense to class Man X as gamma and Man Y as beta?

As much as I appreciate TRP I find it rather ironic that we deploy such complex models to analyse women yet when it comes to the analysis of men we utilise such a simplistic Boolean logic. Sure, making snap judgements on whether someone is alpha or not is something we all do, but then automatically assuming non-alphas are betas is to me too far a leap in logic which lacks deductive reasoning.

No, I'm not speaking binary just because I keep the deeper topics for later, you're simply inferring that. You're also assuming I said you call yourself sigma, that never happened also. Trp never said men can be one or the other, if you actually read many of the reccomended authors and not just the sidebar you see that there is much more to TRP than just the basic alpha-beta paradigm.

It's never discussed here because the people who come here already struggle enough between actually reading the sidebar and not being a total autist in generally everything. Adding more dynamics (especially one as interesting as sigma/gamma) just means more autists over analysing to the point they get no work done and then use a faux sigma lifestyle as an excuse to not do better.

Sigmas also don't need help, by definition they are just fine on their own and are completely capable and not needing much direction and prefer to go it alone.

If you can't see the autisticity that fills the sub, just scroll through the new posts daily. It paints a pretty solid picture that most people here are very new to gaming in general, won't read the sidebar, many overthink basic interactions and outcomes.

I didn't say anything about any of your supposed stats because you simply stated that there are stats to consider yet you didn't mention which statistics in particular.

Keeping the sub simple is a double edged sword I will admit. It gets too simple and people get lost in the vagueness, too complex and you get people get lost in singular concepts (sigma, mgtow, delta, reactionary/religious sexual dominance, divorce rape,....these are just a couple) and neglect actually improving themselves.

Alpha traits are universally attractive, a sigma has most if not all of the positive attributes with some cons and pros relatively. A sigma is naturally occurring and can't be replicated as his mode of operating is inherently diferent from the start. They are separate from societies molded masses. You can try to learn it but good luck. People who claim they became a sigma are generally just betas who won't put in the work or hang out so they gravitate to the lone wolf archetype but they end up being gamma. It's a deep hot mess
