I’ve read a lot in trp community about “frame”. I have also heard the phrase “agree and amplify”

From what I understand, the agree and amplify theory is that when someone talks shit, have it be a girl or anyone, the proper response is to embrace the insult, thus taking away the power of it.

If a girl shit tests you- don’t get defensive and try and prove yourself and qualify yourself to her. Just be calm and agree with what she’s saying and even embrace he label being given.

Do I have this right? I’m new to the community and just want a clarification since I hear this phrase used a lot. It’s almost like I have always known this but have never heard it given a title or a phrase.

Whenever someone tries to insult me, if I actually agree with the insult and laugh it off as though I’m not just indifferent to it, but in complete agreement with it in a very present way. Whenever I react this way I can see the other person sort of in shock that I didn’t snap back, and almost angry that they could not throw me off.

Am I right about this?
