Has anyone here gone back to college at a later age in life? If so, how did it work out?

I currently work a blue collar job, but realize it's not a sustainable career choice with much growth so I'm curious about other people's experiences.

My plan is to save as much money as possible, study accounting while working full time and graduate with little debt.
