When I was young, I was made fun of a lot and pretty much emotionally abused by a close family member. I’ve since made leaps and bounds away from the shy/socially anxious person I used to be and am now pretty outgoing and confident.

The thing is, as a result of always being made to feel like shit when I was younger, I have developed a greater sense of empathy and emotional intuition (doesn’t help that I was raised by a single-mother) than might be normal for a man. I say this, because it is very hard for me to put others down in any sort of way. I will if it deserved, but the tactics of push-pull, negging, and teasing just feel very uncomfortable to me. I know all to well what it’s like to be made fun of or put down, and I would hate to have anyone else, man or woman, feel what I had to feel when I was younger.

This is probably what is holding me back most from becoming an actual alpha, so any advice to not feel bad about treating girls this way? What worked for you?
