I had an interesting experience tonight and thought I’d ask here for help.

After sleeping with a plate, I went out to a party in which I knew that I would know nearly nobody there. I went in with my friend who left immediately and I was left to make small talk with whoever I could. I noticed a few things happening and I’m not sure how I should have handled each:

  1. I would get looks from girls where they maintained eye contact for a few seconds before looking away. Not clearly “fuck me” eyes, but definitely longer than normal.
  • A few of them when leaving came past me and said it was nice to meet me even though I hadn’t talked to them at all.

  1. I ended up talking with this blonde for a bit and she told me she worked at a Michelin Star restaurant and had to leave early for work in the morning. I asked who goes to an expensive restaurant early in the morning and she said “apparently a lot of people. I don’t know who’d pay that much for breakfast but I do know that if someone went to eat with me they’d get half off”

  2. One guy I talked to had a girl with him and would essentially shit on him for going to a school that wasn’t as good as mine and went on about how she wished she could go where I went.

I’m not sure what was an IOI and what was innocent. Most girls I’ve been with have been very forward and I’ve been able to tell pretty easily, but I know that I can’t expect everyone to be as obvious. How can I better tell what’s an IOI?
