The title says a lot but here's the story:

I got into a computer engineering technologist program at a local trade school and am excited to get back on track after a long string of personal/social failures. It's not quite the same thing as computer engineering obviously but it has always been a dream to work in the tech sector/programming which is only a stone's throw away and honestly if I hustled really hard I don't see how I couldn't negotiate my way into regular development at some software company somewhere and thus an escape strategy to get out of my current industry- Banking hopefully pans out. If I was in some boutique investment banking or had some rock solid degree/connections it would be tempting to stay in banking but my current position is that of a retail banker with no sign of breaking out. Which is also an area essentially ripe for job loss as fintech looms over the entire sector-especially retail.

I'm also 23. So I got a whole life ahead of me, unlike my current coworkers who are all nearing retirement or have a spouse/family member to support them. So if anyone has any advice from pivoting into the tech sector from another industry I would love to hear some stories.

But my main question has to do with school since I'm starting trade school in the winter semester, so I got six months and I'm already very fit but Im eating like a madman in an effort to get jacked and muscular. I'm also working on positive affirmations to get my mind right and build a social life while Im there. Also hustle in industry and try to make those early connections.

I did 1 year of uni(CompEng) before and was lonely and isolated and ended up doing poorly anyway. Not this time, this time I want to be the guy who can balance the social life, working a job, doing well, etc. Last time I wallowed in my own self-pity and got nothing back from it. If there are any really hard workers on this subreddit who balanced everything while living a TRP lifestyle in college- any tips or insights are greatly appreciated.

Im currently working 2 jobs and studying in my spare time, but I can definitely improve a lot of things in six months so also feel free to throw suggestions

Thanks for the help & knowledge I've gotten so far.
