Hey guys I went to a camping festival over the weekend. On the first night my two pals and I were at a stage in a barn, we were all seperated in the crowd mingling with people, one of my pals pulled someone so he left with her. My remaining pal was a few metres behind me.

I was decently drunk, in the crowd mingling with people. I ended up dancing with and talking to this girl, who didn't appear interested in any way but was extremely friendly. She asked me how my night was going and I answered honestly "Having an amazing time but I want to find a girl to spend the night with still" laughing.

So she told me "oh my god i love you" and introduced me to her friend, solid hottie who was eyeing me as I talked to her friend. I ended up dancing with this girl, got a bit handsy but nothing too brash. Good fun. My remaining pal seen me dancing with this girl.

Gig ends and I am leaving the barn with these girls, I run into my pal and introduce him to these three girls. They suggest an after party at our tent, I say no, because there is a group of ten of us camping in one area, not a good situation for trying to get into these girls. I suggest an after party at their tents, to which they agreed.

I tell them all i'll meet you there, I head to toilets. When i arrive at their tent, my pal is sitting beside the girl I was dancing with who was eyeing me up and clearly interested.

Here is my first mistake - out of respect for my pal I decided to not try anything. We just chilled with these three girls for about 40 mins, he was sitting beside the hottie but didn't try anything. Didn't put his arm around her, mostly he just talked to me.

Conversation died, hottie gets girls and decides to go for a walk. Invites us with them, looking at me. I was very drunk at this point, so I declined on the walk and opted to sit in their tent until we returned. Second mistake.

I chill in their tent with my pal, we listen to music, sitting in the same place. Girls return, hottie sits beside my friend again. I think she sat beside him because they had the best two seats in the tent. She is now firing me dirty looks and looks generally very unhappy.

I tell my pal i'm tired, he agrees. We leave. I go to the bathroom and when I arrive at my pal and I's tents he is not here. Next day he says he went back to girls tent on his own. Apparently when he arrived back all three girls were in their underwear.

He tried to get into girl who was interested in me but sat beside him. She tells him she has a boyfriend. She goes to bed. He leaves unsuccessful.

So I think my pal saw this girl firing me IOIs and decided to try himself. Kind of a dick move, I should have done something about it at the time. I was too drunk to be dealing with decisions like this, mistake number three.

I know she was interested because after I told her pal I wanted to sleep with somebody tonight she introduced me to this girl. She then danced with me and allowed me to get handsy. She definitely does not have a serious boyfriend.

She gave me an opportunity to make some sort of move on her during the walk she proposed, she was still giving me milder IOIs up until this point. However after she returned IOIs turned to angrier looks in my direction.

I am kind of annoyed at my pal, I made this whole tent party happen and he just came along for the ride. He ends up sitting beside the hottie and not getting any. However I was too drunk at the time to realize this.

How should I have handled my pal sitting beside the girl I was working on? Should I talk to him about the situation to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future? Am I right to be annoyed in hindsight?
