Just my personal observation which might come off to some of you as not that big of a deal but I wanted to post it anyway.

Women are not so incapable that they cannot open doors or carry out small tasks. What really matters when a man "helps" a woman is that the man is the kind of man that the woman WANTS to get attention from. What is exhilarating is that a high quality male showed interest in her, especially more so in times and cultures when romantic gestures were carried out more subtly. However, that does not mean that such gestures are now impossible or simply "beta." What matters is that the man is desirable, and carries out the deed not as if helping "his queen" or whatever but as a simple and yet fleeing gesture. "He showed interest in me! But wait, he looks as if he could leave any moment too..." Might not be the best paraphrase but you get the idea.

What couldn't be more of a turn off is when a man carries out such tasks and expects instant rewards. "Oh, how dare she not suck my dick when I open doors for her and buy coffee for her and giver her rides!" Women did not care when a stableboy opened doors back in the "good old days," and they do not care when a fat dude does the same things now.
