Hooked up with this girl a month ago. She lives somewhere else. Going to her town next weekend to see family and for business and I called her today to see if she wanted to hangout while I was there. Seemed interested on the phone and left it at her figuring out her schedule. An hour or two later I get:

“hey , thanks for reaching out! i should have asked this before, but would friday dinner be just the two of us like on a date? you didn’t specify and i’d like to have clarity in that.

Also I just remembered that <Beta friend who told me he loved me, but I have no attraction to> will be having a birthday thing in <location that’s a two hour drive away> so if you did want to do something in a group setting that would be the move !!”

Yea so I’m pretty sure this is a shit test. Two possible reactions are as follows:

  1. Say something like “whoa now, don’t get any ideas” and tell her that I’m definitely not driving two hours with her to see this random beta.

  2. Be confident and say something like “Yes it is. Just you and me.”
