It's so easy to look awful with both band t-shirts and brand name clothes.

Band t-shirts often scream basement dweller. Nobody really wears them any more. T-shirts of grunge/metal bands are often ugly, overdesigned and tell the world that you're still stuck in your adolescence, but ones with simpler designs that don't distract from your face are decent picks.

And as for Gucci/Versace/whatever shit, nobody wears them anymore. They scream tryhard who blows whatever money he has on stupid shit.

I wear stuff which has outrageous shit written on it and fits well. One of my shirt says "let's get lost" and "let's" is scratched off.

Fit is everything.

Plain white tee, jeans and fucking vans can look good if your in reasonable shape and they fit you properly.

Hell upgrade that to a plain basic button up shirt and some boots that fit properly and you can look good and smart casual.

Clothes should compliment. You need to be aesthetically pleasing when eyes lock on. Does it fit well? Does it fit with your skin tone? Build? All of that matters more than the brand

Only broke fucks flex with clothes. Actually wealthy people often dress like shit; the amount of homeless looking ass dudes that I’ve seen step out of a Porsche is hilarious. They dress like that because they can afford the luxury of actually not giving a fuck what the peasants around them think. I wear what makes me feel good and fits me well. I don’t give a fuck about brands or where I bought it. True self confidence is going out in a plan black tee/v neck and rocking it.
