It's a sub for men going their own way. It means no cohabitation or marriage with women, you put yourself above all else. As for the quarantine, there was a crazy person who happened to browse THIS sub but many others. It got unfairly quarantined because of one bad apple.

Real answer: Because a while back some guy was getting ready to kill a bunch of ~~women~~ people or something. Feds looked on his computer and saw that he often visits MGTOW. Even though MGTOW is NOT a hate group in any way or form, Reddit, to make themselves look good, put this sub under quarantine.

Recently, Reddit ~~Thanos snapped~~ banned a shit ton of SubReddits, but this one was untouched.

This sub is quarantined, because Reddit really, really, does not like it. For social, political and ad-revenue reasons. Yet, at the same time, it is not outrageous enough, to get banned without backlash.

The final banning of MGTOW is seen as inevitable, the next time Reddit decides to virtue signal to its users and ad-clients how woke it is. Make sure you bail-out bookmarks are in order.
