There is a general understanding that in order to maintain a healthy relationship there needs to be a right balance of Alpha and Beta traits. Too much Alpha and the girl becomes insecure and feels uncared for potentially causing a lot of problems in the relationship. On the flip side, too much Beta means attraction dwindles and arousal dries up.
Also this goes hand in hand with womens' ovulation cycles. During ovulation, women are more attracted to Alphas while during the luteal phase, they are more attracted to Beta characteristics.
Let's discuss ways to best balance alpha and beta behaviors in relationships.
Side note: I'm currently in a LTR where I started off alpha but I can feel her trying to slowly betatize me. My attempts to be more alpha are met with complaints that I'm being too mean or uncaring. (Ex. The girlfriend asked me to carry her shopping bags at the mall and I refused by telling her she has two arms, and she got pissy and blamed me for being an uncaring boyfriend as she does many things for me and I don't reciprocate as much which is actually true.) Perhaps I should be adding more beta traits.
