It's important that it doesn't have to be: "omg, I have to look for a boring beta bux now because I want to be provided for."

It sometimes sort of just happens. She meets a guy, they date for a while. After the honeymoon phase the relationship becomes lackluster and she is bored with his beta nice side that seemed so endearing during the honeymoon phase.

That's where she would have split up with him when she was younger.

But now that she is older and sees how comfortable it is with a guy who can provide for her (and as OP says, he doesn't even have to make that much), she decides to stay with him. Just because it's comfortable.

Resentment down the road.

lol no. i grew up in the ghetto. my sister is on welfare and has a kid already at 19. If i ask her and my ghetto friends what guy they want they will say if its for money they would go for someone who is already rolling in dough as in football star, basketball star, rapper. but most of the guys they've fucked and been with don't have money. they grew up in the ghetto too. a ghetto lower income person doesn't want boring ass middle class IT guy. They will have nothing in common
