I would suggest talking to your physician about trying a different medication, if you aren't experiencing any measurable improvement. Additionally you may want to explore yoga and meditation to establish strategies for dealing with the anxiety you're experiencing (certain breathing techniques are phenomenally helpful). I would recommend looking into joining a group or a club where you can participate in activities or discussions that are non-threatening and where you feel confident shining. Cognitive therapy may also provide some relief too. Don't fret, man. We're all just winging it. Get creative about building up your self esteem and if anyone makes you feel badly about yourself - fuck 'em. It's ok to feel a little foolish sometimes. We all say and do awkward stuff and even the coolest among us have their moments of being dorky. It's just part of being human. There's an evolutionary component to anxiety. We are basically maladapted for modernity. We used to be on edge constantly as rudimentary humans, per the never ending threat of natural predators. Now we aint got no predators but we're stuck with these hair-trigger fight or flight systems that make us far more adrenaline riddled than need be. I wish you the best of luck and am confident you'll be able to conquer this enough to build a satisfying, interesting life for yourself.

You should seek therapy. Seriously. It will help you. Nothing beta about seeking help if you need it. You hate being regarded as a child? You're 17 brother, you are a child. Keep in mind I'm only 19 myself. I'm a child too. TRP can be a little dramatic, granted I consider it accurate advice, but it's also full of jaded older men who have gone through divorces and seen the absolute worst side of the female gender. And to be frank, you say "I just don't care"... that's bullshit. You care too much. Sometimes people laugh at you. Sometimes people judge you. Being an adult means getting over that fear. Part of being alpha is being able to laugh at those fucks who laugh at you and judge you. And it takes time to get there. Try to stay positive. Life is only as scary as you make it.

This is obvious to everyone, but your problems go deeper than women. You need to learn some things about life and by learn, i dont mean read up on them over the internet.

You need to follow the example of manly men. Develop a goal. Then get outside the house and follow it. Hone your body, mind and skills. Talk to people. Fight to earn their respect. Fight until you are no longer afraid of it, until you even welcome it.

Keep a journal, and write down your thoughts. Develop a second inner voice to combat the weak, cowardly, self excusing one. Follow a strong male role model.

Most of all, stop making excuses and just get out there and DO things. 90% of your problems are caused by inaction, by allowing yourself enough time to sit there and dwell on everything. Get out there and lift, or study, or train for a new career, or travel... the possibilities are endless.. you should be angry you don't have enough time to conquer all the things you want to conquer. Not sitting around making excuses why you're too weak to do it. You aren't, you just think you are.

Put yourself to the test young man! And don't be afraid to fail. Instead, welcome it. You fall down 99 times, and succeed the 100th.. that's how winners are made. Enter the crucible of pain, suffering, toil and failure and emerge 5 or 10 years later a MAN.
