It's not even "ape accusations. Sexual harassment accusations are even more common. A recently introduced law in my country makes it incredibly easy for someone to press charges against you for any "sexual" comment they deem "unwanted". It doesn't even have to be actually sexual. It's pretty much a law against catcalling. For example, just the other day a guy who worked on a train said to a girl that he was glad it wasn't cold, or else her boobies could get sick. She was wearing a very graphic cleavage. It was a stupid joke. She's pretty much out for attention. One of those plus size instagram models with huge tits. She posts pics in lingerie, etc. She pressed charges against the man and went public with the story. Received tons of attention, 10k followers on instagram in 2 days, newspapers, magazines, tv. She's all over the place. Now, ironically, she was on tv being interviewed about this situation and a construction worker screams "GREAT TITS!". Very awkward pause, you could see her die inside "this is what i'm talking about".

Now, cold approach is pretty much dead. You're not gonna approach a strange woman on the street unless you're stupid or you're Brad Pitt. Maybe in certain countries you can still do it, but i don't think it's a good idea in most advanced countries.

Just today i was talking to a crazy hot gal that i just wanna fuck and i had to ask her if she allowed me to talk to her in a more intimate way with her, with no filters. It's almost like you have to ask her to sign a contract before any sort of sexual advance. It's getting fucking ridiculous. I used to be super straightforward, but nowadays i'm getting a bit nervous. And they don't just go to the cops, they make sure the world knows you're a perv.
