Miniature Dachshund named Klaus. Loyal, fearless, great little dogs. Love to snuggle, play, and constantly want to be by their master's side. Can be a little stubborn and focused when they catch a prey scent (i.e. squirrels, etc.) and the hunting instinct takes over.

Golden retriever. Got him when he was 6 weeks, he’s 4.5 now..cuz he’s the best boy in the world.

Alaskan Malamute named Joker. He's about 100 lbs. Beautiful black and white fur and bright blue eyes. I got him when he was a pup and he's twelve now. He's been a great companion for years. He's very smart and obedient. Doesn't make a lot of noise. He growls at me real softly if I stop petting him. If he barks I know I need to go see what's going on. Super friendly to people, but will kill any wild animal that gets in his yard. I've never had a break ins, but I'm pretty sure he'd handle it.

I had this cool little buddy that even today I don't know which was its breed. I only know it was a small sized dog.

Its name was Chester and man, he was thevery first friend I got. I received him as christmas gift when I was 6 years old and he lived 13 years old since he was a puppy.

Hell I gonna find which was his breed and look for another one to his memory.

Once went me and my dad were at the river to let the dog cool himself in the water. My dog was afraid of my dads life when my dad just laid back in the water (dog probably thought that he hurt himself and couldn't stand). Dogs are just the best

My SAM (Samuel Augustus Maximus but he answers better to Sammy and Fat Dog) Mutt-Lab that I picked up with his brother at a gas station in a box that said “free puppies”. He’s a skiddish scaredy cat but he is beyond loyal when it comes to hangin around and wanting to steal half of my bed when I go to sleep. He also does a damn fine job of keeping my dad company regardless of the time of day. Where we are he is and that’s the way he likes it.

‘Velcro Dog’. No leash required. Goes by the call sign of ‘Cedar’. Got the ‘runt’ because they try harder. And hotels 50lb limit. Damn dog saved my life on more than one occasion. Figuratively and literally.

Yorkie. She is loyal and fits on my bike very well. We have done 4,000 mile trips together three times. I’ve always had German Shepherds or mutts thereof but couldn’t stand the sidecar thing. Dogs are so loyal and just want to be with you. It always broke my heart leaving them at home when I went for a ride. She always brings joy to everyone!

Ok, a sad dog story, just a warning:

I live alone, I have no illnesses (knock on wood), but I worry that if I get a dog (and I love all breeds), I'll drop dead on the poor little fella. Just can't bear the thought of putting a dog I'd love through that. It happened to someone here in town. He had 2 dogs. Now they didn't eat him or anything there were bites on his hands, it appears they were trying to get him to get up. He died in an easy chair. The poor dogs weren't found for about a week. It was horrible, the dogs were starving, and smelled of his dead body. It took 3 baths to get the smell out. Happy ending they are together with a new family. You know they are scarred though. So sorry to bum you out with a sad dog story. So, that's why I am hesitant to get one. Love dogs though.
