I wasn't given abstinence only education or religious views of sex at school but also not told about condoms or birth control at school either or even the direct mechanics of a pregnancy. The things taught were things like periods, wet dreams, ovulation, genes and advanced Mandellian charts, sperm, eggs, the stages of pregnancy and fetal development, mitosis, chromosomes, things like that. It was very scientific and biological but didn't delve much into sex itself.
