Just found this sub and it seems like exactly what I’m looking for except it is dead 😂 any lurkers around? I’m curious about people’s opinions on The Rational Male and how it holds true for gay guys.

We here.

Read that book a while ago. Could be useful to act on if you’re trying to have a lot of sex and maybe attention but not be in a committed relationship. It talks about having a lot of partners like it’s a novel thing which it might be for straight guys, but we are used to it. The book demands emotional distance and says that having lots of partners gives you that and keeps you from falling for someone. I haven’t seen this work in practice for gays but maybe it’s different with tops vs bottoms, or depends on the person. So, do you want to be emotionally distant and have a lot of sex and not a relationship as it suggests, is the question.

I think I was reading this to make a new me after being very heartbroken in college. I think if I worked out more, efficiently, and went out and had fun more with good people I would’ve gotten over it faster, so maybe the book is not so right and not so wrong

Thanks for talking me out of that book. I am naturally a very emotionally distant person. I could have sex with a lot of guys and never fall for any of them. However, I have 0 desire to do that, because what is very elusive for us gay men: committed relationships, is the only thing I actually want :/. Sex is boring and meaningless to me without connection. And it seems that genuine connection is the hardest thing for me to find.

From what you describe, it sounds as though the book is about heterosexual men fantasizing about what it would be like to have as much sex as gay men can easily have without effort.

I guess we all want what we can't have.

It’s still alive it’s just a lack of shit to talk about and Reddit has decided to castrate us and derank/black list us because they can’t have the gay goyim speaking freely and have our own thoughts outside of orange man bad and fuck me hard daddy because muh agenda. So yeah. We’re still here just life’s fucked us🤷🏼‍♂️

Reddit is very anti- free speech :| a lot of the best, most unique subs have been either quarantined or banned.

This sub still has its lurkers but I think it's pretty dead because there just isn't that much to talk about with the red pill in regards to gay men. Because both parties in a relationship are operating in the same headspace as men then there isn't much of a need for sexual strategy. Getting ass/dick is easy and while forming a long-lasting monogamous relationship is difficult it doesn't have the same hurdles as straight relationships do. If anything gay men have it the easiest, it's basically just two best friends who also get each other off and probably end up living together.

I agree. While sex is extremely easy for virtually any man to acquire (as long as it's with another man), it's very hard for gay men to find relationships with other men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
