Especially since starting HRT about a year and a half ago. I used to be far more promiscuous than I am now. I’m rarely interested in men, and if i am, then it’s generally much more emotional than physical. I don’t really wanna have sex all the time, my fantasises usually involve being the wife or long term partner of a man I’m attracted to. However I find that society pushes trans people to be much more promiscuous and sexually liberal, despite a large number of trans people not really wanting this. I don’t wanna dye my hair pink, or wear revealing clothes, I’d rather dress conservatively and have long dark hair, as i just want people to see me as a normal woman. Also, as a socialist I feel that more leftists should acknowledge that the societal push away from monogamy is a symptom of neoliberalism, and not a liberating force. A household cannot be sustained on 1 mans income, so both parents have to work in order to raise children. I think that having the choice of being a housewife or mother is a privilege, not an oppressive institution. Obviously not all trans women or women would be happy with that kind of life style, but I think it’s important to be able to choose. Thoughts?
