Hi, so my best friend and I really close to each other since college he has been a true bro to me. Every time I was down he helped and vice versa. He is the type of guy who focuses on long term relationships only. He and his current gf have been dating for few years now and all his past relationships have been 1+ years (except one where we found solid proof of her being in an orgy and her denying it).
To the point; During college I have lived a really reckless relationship life. I didn't focus on long term relationship but just in the moment. Spin the plates. Longest relationship I've had is 6 months. Reason for that was because focusing at work and college I had little to no free time to focus with a girlfriend.
My best friends' girlfriend has a best friend who is kinda the same like me, during college didn't focus on long term relationships, focused at work and studies etc. But after college she's kinda trying to settle down and have a long meaningful relationship. I kinda do too, as I am trying to settle down and see how that part of life is like.
I've met the girl only once before, she's very gorgeous, beautiful body, redhead, 9/10 in general. Surprisingly her personality is amazing too, easy going, we like same type of music and everything.
My best friends' girlfriend birthday is coming up in 2-3 weeks, and they invited me as I am also a good friend with his girlfriend, and of course she's bringing her bestie too (obviously). Later I found out that is just the 4 of us and it's starting to feel like I am being set-up with this girl. I kinda like her so I have no issue with it but thinking more I've noticed some red-flags that could be dating her.
- The stakes are too high from the beginning.
as I mentioned above my bestfriend is a really awesome dude, specially with his partners, as he's always rational, always ties to make the best decision and so on. And as girls talk, his gf talked to her best friend about how awesome he is, and more than often I've heard her say "Why do guys act like this. X [best friend name] doesnt act like this" or "does X act like this to you?", "did X speak to you this way?" etc etc..
Since I am best friends with the dude, she probably will think that I have to be in same level as him. Is there anything else that's bad in short/long run dating your best friends' girlfriend best friend?
