I don’t cold approach (I wait for choosing signals generally) but my advice is to treat approaching like sales.

If someone walks into your store what do you do:

You walk up to them to greet them with a smile.

All you need is to do is walk up, say hello, and smile. Then introduce yourself (Hi, I’m Charles).

State your reason for approaching:

“I was walking this way and noticed (observation: you, your bag, your hair, your clothes, surfboard) and wanted to come say hello.

Switch to questions

“Do you come here a lot?” “Do you do X activity often?” “How’s your day/night going?”

Introduce the proposition

“I come here to surf every weekend, so if you’re free next weekend you should come hang.”

“I love stand up, I’m checking out a show this weekend. If you’re free, you should come.”

“There’s a cool bar on the west side that doing a live show Saturday. If you’re free, you should come.”

(Note: Notice the use of “should” to make it an implied choice. It’s not a hard sell, just a hard suggestion. It’s less direct, but she just met you so it’s also less creepy. You don’t want to scare the deer off early.

Make the sale

(If she says yes)

Cool, give me your number (hand your phone over) and I’ll shoot you the details before Friday. It was nice to meet you, take care.

(If she says no - as in she’s not free)

No worries, take my number down anyways and if anything changes, shoot me a text.

That’s really all you need. Add some observational jokes in there to make women feel at ease (this also displays confidence) and practice the routine (the pitch) until it feels natural.

It literally doesn’t matter, as long as you have the confidence to say something to them. If they find you attractive they’ll give you their number.

For example, I was in a store last night and there was this super hot girl, probably an 8.5/10 maybe even a 9.

She was buying a beer and I told her the one she was buying was shit, and she should get the one I was drinking instead. Pretty stupid thing to say looking back because maybe she likes that fucking beer, but it doesn’t matter, don’t overthink it because you’ll get nervous. She giggled, so I told her to give me her number. And that was it.

I wasn’t even out to approach girls I was just fucking about with friends and got a few numbers. Just have fun with it, when you’re outcome independent it’s easy.

You can literally say anything. Its more about your energy/confidence rather than what you say. Here's an opener I used to get # on a 8.5 at the gym last night.

"You a germophobe or something?" (she has a towel on the barbell and another towel on the box for her box squats).

OPENERS: The best openers are situational and in the moment- what you think of when glancing at her. She has a weird tattoo? "So whats the story with that tattoo?" etc etc.

That said, here's a few that work if you can't think of situational one on the fly:

"Hey, Im [your name]."

"Hey you look interesting/attractive/pretty cute, I wanted to say hi."

"Hey do u know where _____ is?" (indirect)

CONTINUING THE CONVERSATION:

Once you get pretty good, this will flow naturally most of the time. I always like to keep a few fallbacks though:

"What are you up to?"

"You from here?" (logistics)

"What do u do for fun?"

anything you notice about her smile, style, smell, your surroundings, etc.

CLOSING:

this is where you suggest meeting for drinks and say "whats ur #, we'll set something up."

Cold approaching on streets is weird. Just do it at an event.
