If you think about it, TRP is an underground destabilizing force to present society.

TV shows like "Friends", and other sit-coms, rom-com movies, etc., are carefully crafted by writers with shrinks on staff.

The masses are all pretty much like 80% of us were before we found TRP.

The shows are seen as harmless, inane fun. These shows actually are used to spread and reinforce many "memes of the day" to steer society towards the goals of the producers, or their sponsors. Much of the steering is towards PC thought, eco-green, climate change, and the Left/Right political ping-pong game.

TRP is changing all that, one man at a time. With a new-found ability to see the world in the way that it really exists, these men will not react the way the screenwriters were hoping for. They will no longer be able to steer and portray the image of men, husbands and fathers, as slightly better than fools.

TRP is now very much a "Butterfly Effect". The changes are spreading because they change the world-view of the next person to promote the TRP meme.

In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. The name of the effect, coined by Edward Lorenz, is derived from the metaphorical example of the details of a hurricane (exact time of formation, exact path taken) being influenced by minor perturbations such as the flapping of the wings of a distant butterfly several weeks earlier.
