Been reading up on my theory again and I'm still a little confused on what the actual correct method of soft nexting is.

Let's say you decide to soft next a bitch for 5 days. Do you:

  1. Go no contact for 5 days, ignore any and all attempts by her to hit you up, and then hit her up after 5 days like nothing's wrong.

  2. Go no contact for perpetuity, however if she hits you up, you resume the relationship as normal.

The second method is what's advocated here however, if she hits up you within, let's say, a few hours, and you go back to normal, she won't even know that she's been soft nexted. What's the point of the soft next in that case?

The first method is what Black Dragon advocates and sounds more effective in terms of disciplining, but also makes you seem a little butthurt.

Just been reading different views on this so I need someone to clear up my confusion.
