Hey.
A current case of mine makes me think about the many women in their late 20s/early 30s that i see proudly showing off a "no labels relationship" where i live (western europe).
They would basically hang out in public with a guy, everybody would assume he's their LTR, but in conversations they make sure everybody knows it is a casual thing.
I've heard lines such as :
"Grace looks really into Mike but she's clear in her head that he's just a temporary thing, just to have a good time together"
"Oh yes I love Bob but I have no problem fucking other guys"
"I have done all sort of contortions to fit my ex LTR expectations, now I want to see someone but also to be free to do whatever the fuck I feel like in any given moment"
I am not sure if:
-they have given up completely on the possibility of having a family.
-it's a fashion thing. A sort of slut-pride movement where they feel the urge to declare that they are at least as slutty as their friends.
-they have been brainwashed into genuinely thinking that family and kids are indeed a form of oppression.
-things didn't work out well for them, they are bitter at not having locked down "husband material" in time and try to hide it by making it look like something they proudly chose.
