So personally I'm at the age (mid-20's) where hooking up with someone that's hot but has the personality of a potato doesn't work for me unless it's after clubbing/going out with friends. One thing I will say is that after around 10ish online dates in the past couple of months, I never had less than a "good" time grabbing a causal drink with them at a bar. You're the man, if you ask/engage in interesting dialogue then the girl will usually reciprocate that same vibe assuming they're into you. Also don't pre-screen out girls based on whether they look intelligent or are interesting via text. Some of the more interesting girls I've gone out with have been after exchanging >10 messages and arranging a meet up.

tl;dr: bring a good vibe, be interesting and most girls will reciprocate in person because most guys are boring as fuck irl.

On the other hand if a girl is someone I actually like as a person it will inevitable go better because we'll likely "be on the same page". But these girls are rare.

That's because they are. I do well with chicks like that too, on rare occasions when I find them. Most of chicks though are just morons, so I just play the teasing game with them most of the time - that one they are able to comprehend.

A woman derives no value based on her personality, my friend. Talk to any overweight single woman. Usually (emphasis on usually) much more polite and easy-going. This is bait for beta males. She knows she is ugly and relies on being "nice" and making attempts at being "charming".
