Here’s the cliff notes version:

6-month plate (not sure if this makes her an LTR or not but it’s definitely not an exclusively relationship.) and I have plans to go to a company Christmas party.

Ask her a week ahead of time, she agrees. She’ll be done with exams at 1/2pm the day of.

Tell her the day before (yesterday) that she needs to be at my place at 7 (the party is only slotted from 7-10) and it’s a new job so I don’t want to be too late.

The day of the party she’s texting me she’ll be ready and at my place at 5. Then 6:30. Then I get a call at 6:30 that all the Uber’s are 15 minutes away...I tell her I’m going to go pick her up.

She’s on the other side of town from the party which means the distance to her and back to the other side of town is about an hour so I’m looking at an 8:15 arrival time.

I’m annoyed but I’m not pissed.

As soon as she gets in the car I tell her to tell me what happened. How did she get so caught up when she had so much time leading up to the party...

She tells me she had to do this and this and such and such for an event the following day (this is true) and then tries to flip it on me that she didn’t think I wanted to be at my place at EXACTLY 7...

Then she gets an attitude because she’s been taking exams all week and hasn’t slept and how could I be coming at her like this.

I tell her I’m going to drive to my house and catch an Uber. She can either come with me or go home. It’s her choice.

She goes home.

I’m going to have a good time regardless and have other hoes but I’m wondering if I let the plate slip or if given the circumstances this was inevitable.
