I am a little behind in terms of achievements compared to people arround me and it's becoming hard to just brush it off untill i set myself back on track.
I am 21, from Eastern Europe, upper middle class based on the standards of my country.
When i go out with my friends and their friends (that i don't know), I always get reminded that they have the things that I was not able to accomplish. For example I repeated 1 year of college (computer science), I have failed my driving exam, not having a job yet. In our discussions they ALWAYS mention one or all of these things and I sometimes get asked about them and I shamefully have to say that "no, I don't drive, I don't make my own money etc ".
Of course i have read the sidebar, I took steps into improving myself, I started lifting, I've gained 11kg this year and I'm still lean enough, my lifts are still going up almost every session. I am the best dressed man in any room that i set foot in(I'm not here to brag, but it comforts me that at least i managed to do this right), I still have to learn for some exams that are quite time consuming, I need to get a job this summer and I will try again to take the driving license. I've gained some new knowledge about coding / programming but still....It doesn't satisfy me. Others are so much better than me.
My question is, how can I stop thinking that I'm a useless piece of shit. I've spent a pretty good amount of time playing video games and wasting my time before reaching this point of being below others, I didn't even realise how far ahead they were going above me.
My MIND doesn't let me say to myself anymore: "oh don't worry you will achieve that, just work a little more". I am beginning to lose fate in myself and in my ability to succeed after I had a lot of failures.
What mindset should i implement, what thoughts should I put in my mind when I am confronted with a situation in which the man in front of me has the things that I was not able to get. When that happens I just want to go home and work on myself more in order to get there faster.
Also, another problem is that I am not able to visualize myself succeeding in the tasks that I have to do. So many smaller and bigger failures have prepared me to think that I won't be able to do it.
I want to get back on being on par with the rest and THEN to get better than all of them. I can't do that if I can't trust myself anymore.
Excuse me if I made spelling mistakes, if you need more clarifications / details I will provide them.
I don't like asking for help online or IRL but you can't do the same things again and again and expect different results.
So I'm trying something new.
If you can provide me with some advice I will be very thankful.
