Lately I’ve got a few girls who are around me (ones are friends of friends and others are work-related but not directly coworkers) that are clearly flirting every time I see them.

It’s not that they are ugly, but that they aren’t worth the effort, specially considering that they’d still be around after a fuck and dump. Also, I don’t want to be rude or cold to them for the same reason.

So, how can I avoid escalation while keeping the situation cool and relaxed. I don’t mind some light flirting and banter, it doesn’t bother me and it’s good practice. But recently I see them trying to up the anti really fast. How to deescalate the situation without outright rejecting them? I want to avoid that as it would made things super-awkward in future interactions.

What do you do in cases like this? Outright ignore the advances? Act if you have Aspergers and don’t know they’re picking you up? Trying to defuse it with humor or some technique?
