Here's some basic social tips:

Learn to not be a people pleaser. Don't pander to the people you want to be friends with. Remember: people don't value what they don't have to work for.
Have strong boundaries. For example, if you're busy with something and someone wants to talk to you, finish what you're first before you give them your attention. Also learn to say no to things that don't work for you.
Be patient. Sometimes it's all about waiting for the right moment to interact with someone or say something that you want to say or whatever. Avoid boldly walking up to people you want to bond with. Try to find the opportunities that will make your interactions feel natural and effortless. You're doing it wrong if you're putting a lot of effort in your social interactions. It should always look like you're not even trying.
Never ever get mad at other people when they ignore you/flake/don't invite you to something/etc. You've probably got better shit to do anyways if you're doing it right (goals, aspirations, interests, etc.). You are your own mental point of origin. Also always act like everybody like you and want to do stuff with you.
Be pleasant: give value to others. Joke around. Don't complain. Make sure you inspire trust in others by being chill physically and mentally. Also make sure you smile. If you have a 'distrustful' look on your face 24/7 you're doing it wrong.
Be fun. Be down to try new things. Go with flow.
In general, don't DEER (defend, explain, excuse, rationalize). Yes this applies to guys too.
