When I’m out doing shit with people I constantly find myself just wanting to go home or do shit that relates to my mission instead - I find myself bored and unstimulated by repetitive meaningless conversation. However I believe this to be my own fault.
I find myself constantly calibrating the way I act based on the people around me and I don’t act how I genuinely want - I take a passive stance instead of an active stance and this leads to me being bored because I’m not doing what I really want to do.
So, my question is, what is the best way to become more self-centered in social situations and stop getting in your head? My biggest issue is overthinking and then faking shit to ‘fit in’ instead of just doing what I genuinely want.
