I've seen that as recurring advice in a bunch of places in the sphere. Basically "find older, more experienced guys to share their wisdom with you" or outright "find a guy to mentor you". Especially if you didn't have a strong father figure early on.
The thing is - most guys my father's age (I'm 27, so basically younger boomers/older gen x) are blue pill as fuck. At best they are blue pill alphas that slain a lot of pussy in college, but then settled down soon after.
I feel like I get way more solid feedback from discussing with guys my age/only slightly older that posses whatever skills I want to get good at (e.g. lifting, game, etc.). They actually get how it feels to be a dude trying to make a name for himself in the current landscape.
