Hey; I have trouble with social skills. I don't open people and outside of my close 2 male friends i struggle opening up and being myself. At 24 i feel far behind my peers socially and lonely on account of not being able to express myself.
I'm also basically a loser, no gains yet and i still need to go to college or something to get a better job. So my mental could definitely use some work as well, along with most aspects of my life.
To be honest, many of the reasons that one would have bad social skills are things that i relate with. Depression, low self esteem, low self actualization, lack of success, etc.
I understand the advice given in situations like mine is to talk to everyone i see, dgaf, etc, but when i do occasionally speak to people it's not like i can witness my improvement objectively so i don't feel like I'm getting better. Maybe i lack the awareness to remember what went good/bad and apply it idk.
Basically, how exactly do I consciously think about improving my social skills.
How do i figure out a social weakness of mine if it could be a myriad of things.
Do i even worry about my social skills before unfucking my life for the next months/years.
Thanks
