We all know the expression "get lucky". It means that a guy (possibly of low value) got laid, usually with a new girl and/or someone above his SMV. Yea, I'll admit it has a bit of a vibe of "the girl is the prize who controls sex" but bear with me.

Then think about ovulation. There seems to be overwhelming evidence that women really do submit to sex MUCH more willingly when ovulating, even with lower value guys that they normally wouldn't any other time of the month.

And there is almost no way to for that guy to know that she's ovulating, because females rarely divulge their period cycle. Hell, some barely even keep track of it themselves.

So on the random chance that a guy happened to have sex with a girl that just happened to be ovulating that night, it's a very good example of the term "get lucky"
