I got this comment from an askreddit thread entitled, "What is the most hurtful thing you can say without using swear words?" That thread has some dark stuff that one will either find useful, depressing, interesting, or entertaining.

The one quoted bellow is the entirety of the throwaway account used, nothing else was posted by that user after that:

My girlfriend my senior year in high school shot herself in forehead out of no where. The bullet didn't penetrate Her skull. I went to the hospital following what I thought was her ambulance because it had her county name on the back. I was losing my fucking mind. When she came out of the back of the ambulance, she was smiling from sedatives, holding the teddy bear I gave her, and looking right at me with a fucking hole in her head. I don't even think she knew where she was. she had a stay in the hospital for a few days before she was transferred to a psychiatric ward for weeks. She would write me letters and I stayed with her through it all because I loved her. After all of it was done, I went through some serious anxiety problems which led to me eventually getting on antidepressants. Long story short, we didn't work out. We talked afterwards, we said we still loved eachother, then she eventually said, "I'm sorry, but I can't talk to you anymore." I asked why. She said, "My boyfriend would go ape shit crazy if he knew I was in contact with you again." I was with her through the worst. When I was at my worst after giving her everything, she wasn't there for me. Still forgave her. Now some dude, just some fucking guy can convince her to cut our ties. Unforgivable.

Just another example of AWALT, but I suddenly found the uniqueness of the situation as an exercise, which may serve as preparation in case any of us suddenly face a similar situation. This situation blurs the line between shit testing and comfort testing part of a woman's brain, as well as it also highlights the amorality of the hamster and nature in general, and how the hamster knows no gratitude or thankfulness in screening the alpha or the beta.

The shit test/beta filter part of this scenario has already been shown, i.e., if you just stuck to her like a nurse, that shit tester/beta filtering part of the girl's brain can't help itself but think that you're a beta chump with no standards on looks or behavior. Thus, a situation like the one quoted above might ensue. Now, before we address the comfort test part, let's address first the alpha qualifier part.

The alpha qualifier part, I think, would be to pull some negs by very discreetly showing that you are disgusted by what she did, or that you think she looks like a piece of shit, or at least laughable or pitiful, and now, it looks like it's just some part of you that's putting up with her so you won't look like the bad guy. This will trigger her anxious instincts to "keep up for the guy", or her desire to please, and she'll start recovering faster and she'll do you favors as soon as possible to gain your approval once more. This discreetness of this quasi-neg can be implemented by not using direct statements, but by the extremely slight nuances in your actions. In other words, it'd look like you feel that way, but you're trying your best not to show it because you'll look like some bad dude, but the impression she gave you was verily there that it can't avoid showing itself in the little nuances of your actions. Yes, this is cruel, hence, the built-in comfort test component of a situation like this.

My theory is simple. Just be a rock. This is how I understood the idea of a comfort test so far. That a woman will find comfort in you much if you act as stoic as possible (most women refer to this as "rock"), than if you act more of a dude who is there for her™ and willing to care for her™. It would be easier to demonstrate this by getting into the stoic/rock state of mind, then your actions and energy/aura/body language/hormones released will demonstrate strength that most women find comforting, will take care of itself. Perhaps eating healthy/high-T foods like broccoli and coconut and perhaps, meat, and then working out will help.

Now, I will attempt to a small common point to the alpha qualifier, the beta filtering, and the comfort testing part of this complex situation. Be a rock, not her rock.

If you have set your mind in being strong mentally and physically as is for yourself, as opposed to dedicating yourself to her (which is inevitably beta, no matter how nice and kind it sounds), I think one's chances of handling this situation through, will be much higher, as opposed to just being there for her at her worst™.

Have you guys been in a similar situation before? How would you handle it if you've been on his place or in a similar situation? Would you just bail out or would you keep things stoic? Like for example, she didn't shoot her head, but she was hit by a stray bullet or an illness that requires a few months of confinement.
