The "honeymoon phase" was always a partial myth. Might as well have a "vacation phase" or "I bought a new car phase" or even "I got a good deal phase". It's just the post-purchase high, at least for men. For women it's the "I have to be freaky for a bit or he might realize I'm going to screw him over" phase.
