It definitely is a power move. 90% of the time people do it, it’s stuff they can do themselves. It’s frustrating when a boss does it because they have plausible deniability and can make you look bad if you refuse

if they are not your boss, then simply stop doing the things they are asking, unless you are up to do it as a small favor. It really is not complicated! You don’t wanna do it, just say you won’t. If asked why just be honest manee, just say you don’t wanna do it lol

Usually people ask me nicely and respectfully. I work with 90% women. You have to create a good dynamic otherwise the workplace is stale.

If you feel its a power move, just walk them through their request. "Wait you want me to get that paper, down there, that YOU dropped?" If theyre bold and say yes, reply "i think you got this one." And go do what you were going to do. Or just make it known that its a favor.

Gotta have a splash of charisma atleast tho.

it’s always contextual. i’ll do some things for people if they don’t ask often. some things are just downright retarded though. a brief example of this was when i was in high school in the lunch line, scooping ice for my cup. the guy behind me thought he was my friend when he was actually annoying as fuck. he asked me to scoop some ice for his cup. the fuck would i do that for?

Some girl wanted me to start her car outside in the cold. Some girl wants her purse from the car. Its a compliance test move they do when they know youre in control and they wanna shift the dynamic. They even told me "most guys do it for me because theyre nice unli you" then much later have a fake attitude and say "i dont like it you say no but I like it. Im confused"
