Since nobody commented, I'll tack on my own. This is written for anyone who is trying to optimise their T and bodies. Don't bother reading if you are on TRT, it'll probably make you shake your head as to how hard this is without it.
Bloodworks came back in. Key observations: (converted from mols to decilitres as that's what you guys use.)
Total T was 374, which is pretty bland.
SHBG was 19. Test results said normal range was 15-57, so that very comforting as a lot of what I do above is aimed directly as minimizing SHBG. I started with a low total T and wanted to make the most of what I had. Albumin also turned out to be low, though as this binding is weak and useful I have taken no direct action to control that. Turned out that 43g/L with a normal range of 39-50 put me in a good place for free T.
Free T was 26.88ng/dl
This calculates as 3.76 % Free and a bioavailability of 88.2 %. from http://www.issam.ch/freetesto.htm?
I can do better, but for now this is good enough. I feel good in the Gym, just need to keep pushing to or near failure each day
Total Protein was BELOW lower bound. I'll talk to the DR about this one, however I suspect this is just a matter of fasting overnight follow a heavy session the day before.
On the other test markers, Vitamin D was surprisingly low, given the fact that I'm in Australia, its summer and I take 1000IU daily. I guess my body is consuming what it gets. mine was 74nmol with a range of 50-140, where 49 =deficiency. I'll triple this.
Calcium were both bottom of the range. Fixing this may help in muscle recovery. I get a lot of back cramps after a heavy workout. I was bumping Mag to deal with that, but this is the more likely cause as my blood mag was high.
Serum Zinc. This is likely affecting my low Luteinizing hormone and also follicle stimulating hormone which knocks on to create my bland total T. Since free T is a multiplication of total against the binding capability of SHBG I might be able to get more free T by helping out the LH\FSH numbers. Currently taking 15mg dose. I'll double that as see how things go.
Boron was low. I have been aware of this for a while and have been eating Raisins and Dried Apricots in quantities to make me unpopular around other people. Even so, I'm only maybe getting 4-5mg\day and I should be targeting 10. I'll have to consider a supplement there.
My carbs are probably too low. Maybe 20% of my macro count.
