Realizing my own worth has taken me thirty years and this sub has helped so much!

Realizing that as a wife or Girlfriend I am not supposed to do Mommy duties for my SO. There is a line between being sweet and being someone's parent. I see myself as an individual and my SOs as their own individuals and adults. I expect more from men and know they should be taking care of themselves first, to grow a relationship with me. Too many men ruin relationships by expecting their girlfriends to do it all for them. How many relationships have I tried to be good 'wifey material' just to get burned in the end!
