If you don't care too much about losing them you could use them both for social proof/preselection. Talk to them at the party do some flirting, let other girls at the party see that you're talking to multiple girls that are into you and you'll have a much easier time scoring someone else and possibly better. How a plate reacts to this is will depend on how invested they are in you and how much they can handle competition anxiety. I've had plates break by flirting with other people in front of them and I've had hookups with plates right after hooking up with someone they saw me flirting with. YMMV but it looks like a good opportunity to test these theories out for yourself.
