My "list" has actually gotten shorter as I've gotten older. When I was in my 20s, I would write a guy off for the dumbest little thing (too young, wore ugly shoes, etc). Now I've lived, dated, and learned. No one is perfect. Sure there are things I prefer over others, but there are very few true deal breakers. I pretty much want someone who is financially stable and doesn't smoke regularly.

Fellas, this is what awaits you as you progress through your 20s to your 30s. While you were hoping to even get a get a date she would have already dismissed you as a possibility because of something that is superficial. if you were Chad you would have already had what she is looking for and if not, then she could overlook it because tingles. Now that she’s older she is more “mature” (whatever the fuck that means) she knows how silly her old ways were. You now have the esteemed privilege of courtship with Chads old rag. You should be grateful because as she says, sure she prefers some things over others but they aren’t dealbreakers :):):):).

My advise to you guys that are around my age (24): get your shit together, go to the gym and get in the best shape of your life, build yourself into something greater, and run through these post-wall/ex-CC women as if you’re a black D1 college football athlete who found out he can get pretty white women. And if you want commitment, find you a foreign chick that isn’t tainted by western women.

OP trying to remember the list:

Height, hair, income, cat person, no kids (but has kids), good cook, nice car, nice house, outdoorsy, likes sex and the city (5 minute conversation about people who think the name is sex in the city), doesn't watch sports "going to games is ok, but watching on TV is stupid", plays an instrument, went to an east coast university (we are in Houston), get manicures, likes to travel, good dancer, likes to read, loves the beach, and other stuff

She should really stop watching that sex and the city bullcrap so much.

I kept getting sub-par women coming up out of the blue telling me that I fit "9 out of 10" of the things on their dating criteria list but not pulling the dating trigger, then got to see them try desperately to fuck married guys, random mystery Chads from out of left field, and an assortment of druggie fuckup parolees that had 3 or 4 (very shallow) qualities that they "required", if that... I've also been on the other side of the equation (sans convictions/wedding ring/etc) and found that the less I cared about whether they lived or died, the more they cared about whether or not I was in their life.

The List is bullshit and everybody knows it.

Someone can tell me I’m wrong but basically women can talk about their lists all they want, for a LTR they want a guy who is just a little below them in the looks scale so they feel they have control and he’s less likely to cheat as they are the best he will get. The rest is all bullshit. There’s no way someone is hitting the rest of the things on their list and they will date him if he’s too ugly or too good looking for them.

What I thought was interesting is this guy is on a date with this woman, and she is talking about her list ON THE DATE. TO HIM. He's on a triple date, with couples that are friends of hers (not his). So he's odd man out. And she feels comfortable chit chatting with her friends about her "list". WITH HIM THERE. ON A SECOND DATE.

The dude did what he should have done. Paid his bill for his meal and left. After that I hope he deleted her number and blocked her and never talked to her again.
